Terms of service.

The rules that keep every stay fair, safe, and simple — for guests, neighbors, and the hosts who look after the house.

Agreement to terms

  • By using this website, submitting an inquiry, or completing a booking, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
  • These terms form a binding agreement between you and the owner/operators of The Hydrangea House. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit a booking request.
  • We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of the page is the version that applies to your use.

Bookings and payment

  • All reservations are confirmed only after we accept your booking and receive the required deposit or full payment.
  • Rates are subject to change until a booking is confirmed. Quotes are valid for the period stated in the offer.
  • Payment is processed through our property-management platform, Hospitable, which may use Stripe or another secure payment provider.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate guest count, arrival details, and contact information.

Cancellation and refunds

  • Our cancellation policy is set out on the Policies page and is incorporated into these terms by reference.
  • Game-weekend, holiday, and special-event bookings may be non-refundable from the date of booking.
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance for high-demand weekends such as Iron Bowl, LSU, A-Day, and graduation.

Guest responsibilities

  • The maximum number of overnight guests is 10. Additional day guests may be allowed only with prior written approval.
  • You are responsible for the conduct of every person in your party and any invited visitors.
  • You must report any damage, maintenance issue, or safety concern promptly so we can resolve it.
  • Pets are allowed only with prior approval, a signed pet addendum, and payment of the pet fee. Dogs are considered on a case-by-case basis. No cats.

Property use and restrictions

  • The home is a residential short-term rental. It may not be used for events, weddings, photo shoots, film productions, or commercial purposes without a signed event addendum.
  • No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors.
  • Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please respect the neighbors.
  • Do not remove furniture, linens, artwork, or other items from the property.

Liability and insurance

  • A non-refundable damage waiver is included with each stay and covers accidental damage up to the stated limit. It does not cover intentional damage, smoking violations, unauthorized pets, or unapproved events.
  • We are not liable for personal injury, loss of personal property, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, utility outages, or nearby construction.
  • We recommend that guests carry their own travel and personal property insurance.

Privacy and communications

  • Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By submitting an inquiry, you consent to receive email, text, and phone communications related to your booking.
  • You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or using the link in any marketing email.

Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and the United States.
  • Any dispute arising from these terms or your stay shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lee County, Alabama.
